Biddestone Stud

Founded by John Moore in 1970, Biddestone Stud, near Chippenham, Wiltshire, (in southwest England) started as a 100-acre farm , the first success was breeding Raffindale (GB), who set the record for two-year-olds over five furlongs at Ascot, that lasted for some years, and went on to become a champion in Australia.

The real foundation of Biddestone`s success has been Amazer (GB) ,a winner as a two-year-old over six furlongs in France in 1969 and bought at the Newmarket December Sales at the end of her racing career. Amazer (GB) produced 17 foals, all of which raced and 15 of which were winners. Mtoto (GB), the champion older horse in Britain in 1987, was the best of Amazer`s progeny. The other foals included Petal Girl (GB) (dam of champion Canadian Mutamam (GB)) , and Savoureuse Lady (GB) (great dam of Blue Canari (FR) , Prix du Jockey Club (G1) winner) . Amazer was also the great dam of Lugana Beach(GB) , Duke of York winner ,and The Tatling (IRE) King`s Stand winner .

After the death of Mr. John Moore in 2008 , Biddestone Stud was sold to Tareq Almazeedi a Business man who had been breeding horses for 20 years .

Biddestone Stud now is home to 35 mares of the top families in the book directly related (under 1st or 2nd dam) to top stallions such as : A.P.
